Job Advertisement: Engineering Lecturer Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for the position of Engineering Lecturer, with a clear pathway to progress into a management role (if not a management role straight away). This role requires an individual with a passion for education and a strong background in engineering, encompassing both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in influencing the direction of Level 3, 4, and above education and training, aligning with emerging sector demands and government policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize or establish an effective network of employers and key stakeholders to identify emerging sector agendas.
  • Translate emerging themes into funded or commercially viable curriculum to meet evolving skill requirements.
  • Contribute to the delivery of government policy and local/regional workforce demands.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive educational strategies.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • Previous engineering experience, preferably in both electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • HNC in an Engineering-related subject. (Mechanical & Electrical engineering experience desirable)
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
  • Proven teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability in creating and maintaining effective work systems.
  • Passionate about teaching and learning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and proactive mindset.

Salary Range: £37,808 – £43,133 (Dependent on experience, skills, knowledge, and qualifications)

Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week, year-round employment.
