Pay: £30.00 – £34.00 per hour

Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Interim Learning Coach with a background in Engineering to support students in an educational setting on a short-term contract. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and student development, with the ability to help learners progress in their engineering studies.

The primary focus of the role is to provide academic coaching to students, helping them build their knowledge and skills in engineering disciplines, while ensuring they stay on track with their coursework and overall development.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer academic coaching and mentoring to students enrolled in Engineering courses.
• Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to help improve performance.
• Conduct 1:1 or small group coaching sessions tailored to the needs of each student.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure students receive appropriate academic support.
• Encourage independent learning and help students develop problem-solving and technical skills.
• Provide guidance and advice on coursework, study plans, and exam preparation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in a Learning Coach, Tutor, or similar role within an engineering or technical education environment.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts with the ability to communicate them effectively to learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
• Strong organizational skills to monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Experience working in further education or higher education is a plus.

Contract Information

• Contract Duration: Monday, 16th September 2024 – Friday, 20th December 2024
• Hours: Flexible, depending on scheduling and student needs.
• Pay Rate: £30.00 – £34.00 per hour (depending on experience).
