We’re working with a well-regarded FE provider in Birmingham to recruit a Temporary Electrical Engineering Lecturer. This role is ideal for experienced lecturers or skilled engineers looking to transition into education.

You’ll be delivering to BTEC Level 2 and 3 learners, teaching up to 30 hours per week. The role offers structure, flexibility, and support, whether you’re continuing your career in FE or bringing in valuable industry knowledge.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and relevant lessons in Electrical Engineering at BTEC Levels 2 and 3

  • Support learners’ academic and practical development

  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain accurate learner records

  • Contribute to a positive learning environment in the classroom and workshop


What We’re Looking For:

  • Background in Electrical or Electronic Engineering

  • Experience delivering BTEC qualifications or working with apprentices/learners

  • Teaching qualification preferred (or willingness to work towards one)

  • Effective communication and classroom management skills

  • A Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant subject area
