A leading national training organisation is looking for a Senior LMS Administrator to manage and evolve its award-winning Moodle Workplace platform, currently supporting over 25,000 users. This is a pivotal role for a skilled LMS expert who wants to make a meaningful impact on digital learning at scale.

The Opportunity:

You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s learning platform-overseeing configuration, content workflows, enrolment management, support, reporting, and platform development. Working closely with digital learning and IT teams, you’ll help ensure a smooth, engaging learning experience for apprentices, tutors, and internal stakeholders.

This is a hands-on, strategic role suited to someone with deep technical LMS knowledge and a passion for user experience and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operation and technical administration of a Moodle Workplace-based LMS

  • Manage enrolments, permissions, multi-tenant setup, and plugin coordination

  • Provide 1st-line support, troubleshoot issues, and offer training and guidance to staff

  • Upload and maintain SCORM, H5P, and interactive content; ensure structure and accessibility compliance

  • Generate insights through data reporting and dashboards (e.g. Power BI)

  • Support system improvements and integrations with third-party tools (e.g. xAPI, LTI)

  • Maintain platform quality through governance, access control, audits, and GDPR compliance

  • Keep up to date with LMS trends, EdTech developments, and Moodle updates

About You:

Essential:

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience

  • At least 5 GCSEs (grades A-C / 9-4), including Maths and English

  • Significant experience in LMS administration (ideally Moodle or Moodle Workplace)

  • Comfortable with SCORM, LTI, xAPI, learning plans, and audience-based enrolments

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiarity with eLearning tools (e.g. Articulate, H5P, Evolve)

  • Excellent troubleshooting, data reporting, and platform management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support a diverse user base

Desirable:

  • Moodle certification or formal training

  • Experience working in apprenticeships or vocational training

  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g. Power BI), LRS, or WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards

  • Accreditation such as CMALT or a Digital Learning Institute certification

Why Apply?

  • Play a central role in the development of a large-scale, national digital learning platform

  • Work with a passionate team committed to high-quality learner outcomes

  • Enjoy flexible home-based working and a competitive salary up to £45K

  • Be part of a growing, forward-thinking organisation that reinvests in its people and platforms
