Job Title: Civil Engineering Assessor/Trainer

📍 Location: Cambridgeshire (field-based)
💰 Salary: Up to £34,500 per annum
🕒 Contract: Full-time, Permanent


The Role:

We’re looking for a Civil Engineering Assessor/Trainer to support apprentices in the workplace as they work towards Level 3 and 4 qualifications. This is a field-based role focused purely on assessment and coaching – no classroom teaching involved.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct workplace assessments and reviews for civil engineering apprentices.

  • Support learners with portfolios, evidence gathering, and EPA preparation.

  • Monitor and record progress using digital systems.

  • Liaise with employers to ensure effective on-the-job training.


Requirements:

  • Industry experience in civil engineering (e.g. highways, drainage, site work).

  • Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/BTEC Level 3+ in Civil Engineering).

  • Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA), or willingness to achieve.

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.
