Key responsibilities:

  • Empower Learners: Lead a caseload of learners, guiding them to achieve their qualifications and apprenticeship success, from start to End Point Assessment.
  • Inspire & Teach: Deliver monthly, dynamic teaching sessions (in-person or online) while providing constructive feedback to help learners excel.
  • Track Progress: Conduct in-depth progress reviews every 10-12 weeks, ensuring learners stay on track and reach their full potential.
  • Tailor Support: Identify and support learners with additional needs, using innovative platforms like Cognassist to ensure personalised learning experiences.
  • Boost Functional Skills: Help learners strengthen their maths and English skills, ensuring they complete Functional Skills requirements and excel in their careers.
  • Build Relationships: Develop strong partnerships with employers, ensuring a seamless apprenticeship journey and compliance with funding rules.
  • Drive Learner Success: Monitor learner progress, engage at-risk students, and ensure timely achievement of goals, contributing to business targets and KPIs.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as a Residential Home Manager
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) – and a willingness to achieve reformed Functional Skills Level 2 if needed
  • Level 5 Leader in Leadership and Management
  • Must hold Level 5 Residential childcare qualification
  • Recognised Assessors Award (D32/D33, A1, CAVA, TAQA)
  • A teaching qualification – (PTLLS, AET, CERT ED, PGCE, DTLLS, CTLLS)
  • IQA Qualification – advantageous but not essential, adding value with quality assurance expertise
