The Promotion

1.1. This promotion is a free prize draw offered by Dovetail & Slate. It is open to recipients of the Dovetail & Slate newsletter who have followed the entry instructions provided within the newsletter.

1.2. This giveaway is hosted on a periodic basis, with the frequency and timing at Dovetail & Slate’s discretion. Winners will be randomly selected from valid entries submitted as per the instructions in each newsletter issue that includes a giveaway.

1.3. The promotion is intended to encourage engagement with our newsletter content.

How to Enter

2.1. This promotion is only open to active subscribers of the Dovetail & Slate newsletter.

2.2. To enter, participants must follow the entry instructions specified within the newsletter, which may vary per giveaway.

2.3. No purchase is necessary to enter this promotion. Participation is free of charge.

2.4. Participants may enter only once per giveaway period. Multiple entries from the same individual for a single giveaway will be disqualified.

2.5. By submitting your entry, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

Start Date and Closing Date

3.1. Each giveaway will start from the time the newsletter is sent and will close on the date specified within that issue.

3.2. Entries received after the specified closing date will not be considered.

Selection of the Winner

4.1. Winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received by the specified closing date.

4.2. Dovetail & Slate will announce the winner in the following issue of the newsletter. The winner will also be notified by email. 

Prizes

5.1. Prizes will be described in each giveaway announcement within the newsletter and are subject to availability.

5.2. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, a prize becomes unavailable, Dovetail & Slate reserves the right to substitute the prize with a similar item or a cash alternative of equivalent value.

5.3. Prizes are non-transferable, and any additional expenses related to claiming or using the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Eligibility

6.1. Participants must be aged 18 or over and residents of the UK.

6.2. Employees, affiliates and immediate family members of Dovetail & Slate are not eligible to enter.

6.3. Entries will be void if they:

   – Do not comply with these terms and conditions;

   – Are incomplete or illegible;

   – Appear to be part of an attempt to manipulate or unfairly influence the outcome.

Notification of the Results and Receipt of the Prize

7.1. The winner will be contacted via the email address used to subscribe to the Dovetail & Slate newsletter.

7.2. If the winner does not respond within 14 days, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner may be chosen from the remaining eligible entries.

7.3. Prizes will be dispatched or made available for collection within 30 days of the winner confirming acceptance of the prize.

Publicity and Personal Information

8.1. Your personal information will be used solely for the administration of this giveaway, including contacting you regarding your entry.

8.2. The surname and region of the winner may be published or made available on request, in line with applicable data protection regulations.

8.3. If you prefer not to have your surname and region shared, please notify us in advance of the giveaway closing date.

9.5 While nothing in these terms and conditions will limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for fraud, we will not be legally responsible to entrants or winners for any losses that were not foreseeable to us or to the entrant at the time of entry to the promotion or which are caused by a third party.

9.6 We will not be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the winner’s use of the prize. The winner assumes all responsibility for any costs or expenses not expressly stated in the prize description.

9.7 The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms and conditions, although if you are resident elsewhere you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the laws of that country.
