This policy is made pursuant to Section 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Dovetail & Slate Group’s Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending April 2026.
Dovetail & Slate is committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking do not exist within its operations or supply chains. Over the past year, we have reviewed our practices and supply relationships to identify any areas where we may be exposed to risk and to strengthen our preventative controls.
Dovetail & Slate recognises that the key area of potential risk lies in the use of temporary workers, particularly within sectors such as Construction. However, we apply the same diligence to all business areas and undertake thorough due diligence checks on all new clients and suppliers to ensure awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of the Act.
We regularly review the core policies and procedures that support this commitment, including but not limited to equal opportunities, data protection and GDPR compliance, recruitment and selection, procurement, and use of social media. Modern slavery risk assessment is embedded within our supplier-onboarding and compliance processes.
All employees receive training to help them recognise signs of exploitation and understand how to report concerns. Employees are encouraged to use our whistleblowing policy to raise any suspicions confidentially and without fear of retaliation.
In line with updated UK government guidance (2024–2025), Dovetail & Slate is enhancing transparency by including measurable actions and outcomes within our annual review. We are committed to continuous improvement and to demonstrating the impact of our actions in tackling modern slavery risks.
This policy has been approved by the Board of Directors and will be reviewed annually.
