Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to succeed in a nurturing, inclusive setting?
We’re working with a national network of independent schools offering alternative education for students with EHCPs who cannot access mainstream settings. The school we are working with are now seeking a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support engagement, development, and wellbeing.
🔹 What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 support to a student with an EHCP, helping them access learning and regulate emotions

Supporting the teacher with daily routines, activities, and behaviour strategies

Building positive, trusting relationships with students, staff and families
-
Helping create a safe, structured learning environment that nurtures progress

Contributing to pupil reports, goal setting, and classroom planning
-
Supporting with personal development, including communication and independence skills
-
Acting as a role model and championing a positive ethos across the school

🔹 What you’ll need:
-
GCSEs (grade C/4 or above) in English & Maths (or equivalent)

Experience supporting students in an education or care setting
-
Understanding of SEN, behaviour needs or alternative provision
-
Positive, professional communication and a calm, empathetic approach
-
A genuine passion for inclusion and helping students thrive
