We’re recruiting for an exceptional D&T specialist to join the a school in Guernsey from September 2025. Whether your background is in resistant materials, product design, CAD/CAM or engineering, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of secondary education in a system undergoing major positive transformation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering high-quality, inclusive D&T lessons that foster technical skill, independence and creativity

  • Designing schemes of work that align with the Bailiwick Curriculum and relevant exam specs

  • Using a range of tools, equipment and technologies in a safe, engaging way

  • Collaborating with colleagues across schools to raise attainment and share best practice

  • Supporting the broader school community as a form tutor and subject advocate

  • Contributing to curriculum development, enrichment activities, and school improvement initiatives

  • Main Pay Scale: £37,680 – £53,857

  • Upper Pay Scale: £56,847 – £60,430

What you’ll need:

  • A degree in a Design & Technology-related subject

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS or equivalent)
    (QTS is required – must be obtained within 4 years if not currently held)

  • Successful teaching experience at secondary level (including ECT placements)

  • Confidence with workshop practice, CAD/CAM and other digital tools

  • A strong commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding

  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for change
