Location: Cambridgeshire
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week, all year round)
Salary: £28,582 – £36,084 per annum

The College, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lecturer in Early Years. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner or aspiring educator to play a central role in shaping the learning experience of students on Levels 1-4 Early Years programmes.

As part of a thriving and supportive department, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, contribute to curriculum development, and support students to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver teaching, assessment, and feedback to ensure excellent learner outcomes.

  • Plan and develop schemes of work, course materials, and group profiles.

  • Support and track student progress through SMART targets and timely interventions.

  • Undertake internal verification and moderation duties.

  • Embed English and maths within teaching and learning.

  • Liaise with employers and support student work placements.

  • Contribute to recruitment, enrolment, open evenings, and promotional activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement.

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and College policies.

Candidate Profile

  • Level 5 Teaching Qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) or willingness to achieve within 3 years.

  • Relevant Level 3/4 qualification, HND, degree, or industry equivalent in Early Years.

  • Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths.

  • Assessor Award (A1/TQA/CAVA) desirable.

  • Substantial, recent Early Years sector experience.

  • Strong knowledge of curriculum initiatives and developments.

  • Excellent planning, organisation, communication, and IT skills.
