Salary:
Up to £42,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm

Location: JTL Training Centre, Oxford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time, permanent Electrical Tutor to join one of the UK’s leading apprenticeship training providers at their Oxford centre. You’ll be delivering high-quality, hands-on training to electrical apprentices at Levels 2 and 3, helping them build core industry skills.

This role is perfect for qualified lecturers or skilled electricians looking to move into education, with full training and support available.Offering the opportunity to join a strong team that area always happy to support there staff.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theoretical training aligned with City & Guilds and EAL qualifications

  • Prepare teaching materials and assess learner progress

  • Provide ongoing support, feedback, and guidance

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety standards

  • Liaise with employers and internal teams to drive learner success


Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (or equivalent)

  • Level 2 Maths & English (GCSE or Functional Skills)

  • Industry experience and knowledge of current standards

  • Strong communication and IT skills

Desirable:

  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

  • Assessor/IQA (A1, TAQA, V1)

  • IOSH or other H&S certification

  • Experience within the building services industry
