Job Title: Teacher of Engineering (0.4 FTE)
Location: North Yorkshire
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (14.8 hours per week)
Salary: £11,367 – £16,749 per annum (actual salary)
Annual Leave: 45 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Teaching Hours: 345.6 annualised hours
Department: A-Levels

Dovetail and Slate are working with a college in North Yorkshire to recruit a dedicated Teacher of Engineering to join their A-Level team on a 0.4 FTE basis. If you’re passionate about teaching and want to help shape the future of aspiring engineers, this is a fantastic opportunity to do just that.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment in Engineering
* Provide both hands-on and theoretical instruction to support learner development
* Design lesson plans that connect academic learning to industry-relevant applications
* Collaborate with colleagues to improve student engagement and outcomes
* Support student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression
* Use digital tools and technology to enhance lesson delivery
What We’re Looking For:
* A minimum Level 3 qualification in Engineering or a relevant Degree (Essential)
* GCSEs in English and Maths
* A teaching qualification
* Knowledge and experience in teaching Engineering
* Strong classroom and time management skills
* Confidence in using digital platforms and teaching technology
