Responsibilities Include:

  • Leadership of the Physics Department: Develop and lead a team of dedicated teachers, fostering a culture of excellence and high achievement.
  • Teaching & Curriculum Development: Teach engaging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a commitment to maintaining high academic standards.
  • Strategic Departmental Growth: Oversee and implement strategies that enhance the Physics curriculum and support student success, building on the school’s strong community reputation.
  • Collaboration & Community Engagement: Work closely with other departments, parents, and local community members to create an inclusive environment where every student is valued and supported.

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial UK teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Physics curriculum, with experience across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Proven leadership abilities and a drive to develop both students and colleagues. Experience as a Head of Science or Second in Department is a plus.
  • A community-focused approach, with a commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive learning space.
