A leading private training provider in Birmingham is seeking a skilled and motivated Welding Trainer and Assessor to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. Role Overview:
As a Welding Trainer and Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective training to Level 3 Welding students, both in the classroom and the workshop. Your expertise will cover a range of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Fabrication & Welding. You will play a vital role in shaping the future workforce, assessing learners’ competencies, and ensuring they gain the practical skills and knowledge required in the welding industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality training and assessment in **MIG, TIG, Stick, and Fabrication & Welding**.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in the classroom and hands-on sessions in the workshop.
- Assess learners’ work and provide constructive feedback to ensure progress and high standards of competence.
- Support and guide students through their learning journey, monitoring progress and addressing individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of learner achievements and ensure compliance with internal and external quality assurance standards.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 Welding Qualification: You must hold a Level 3 qualification in Welding. Please note that coding qualifications alone will not be sufficient.
Industry Experience: Proven experience in welding, with practical knowledge of a range of techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick.
Desirable (but not essential)
Teaching Qualification: A teaching qualification is advantageous. However, if you do not have one, we are committed to investing in your development. Our client will provide up to **£8,000 – £10,000 worth of training and qualifications** to support your transition into teaching.
Assessor Qualification: A qualification in assessment is also beneficial but not mandatory.
