We are seeking a dedicated Director of Science, specialising in GCSE and A Level, to lead and inspire our students in a variety of STEM subjects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator passionate about science to shape the future of students aged 14-19 in a cutting-edge learning environment.
Work schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday
Salary scale: £35,000 – £53,500 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and teach GCSE and A Level Science, focusing on engaging and inspiring students.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence, ensuring high achievement in Science subjects.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Work closely with industry partners as part of our award-winning digital futures programme.
- Contribute to the continuous development and growth of the curriculum within the science department.
- Provide leadership and support for staff, contributing to the development of the Science team.
Requirements:
- A degree in Science, with experience teaching GCSE and A Level Science.
- Strong teaching experience, particularly in science subjects at KS4 and KS5.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and support students.
- A proven track record of inspiring students and achieving academic success.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of science educators effectively.
