Job Title: IT Lecturer

Reporting to: Head of IT/Principal

Hours: Full-time, term-time only

Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 5 pm

Friday: 8:30 am – 1 pm (34.5-hour week)

Salary: £34,000.00 – £38,000.00

  • Confident and skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office
  • Experience in teaching IT (qualifications preferred, but we also consider relevant experience)
  • Exceptional command of the English language
  • Proficiency in leveraging Microsoft Office Teams as a teaching resource

Key Responsibilities: As our IT Enthusiast, you’ll be at the forefront of our mission to deliver exceptional education. Your role will involve:

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Delivering advanced IT instruction, specializing in Microsoft Office (training provided if needed)
  • Equipping students with expert-level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases, and Outlook
  • Preparation for each lesson, including the scheme of work, lesson plans, teaching notes, objectives, and resources
  • Conducting evaluations of each lesson and providing valuable feedback to the team
  • Maintaining accurate records of student behaviour, attendance, and achievements
  • Alerting group tutors to any noteworthy trends or concerns related to student performance
  • Marking student work promptly and diligently, updating the database accordingly
  • Active participation in weekly staff meetings and end-of-term full staff meetings
  • Embracing and supporting college events, guest speakers, open days, and graduation ceremonies
