A great Secondary school, on the beautiful island of Guernsey is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Teacher of Science on a permanent basis, to start in September 2024.

The candidate must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and have experience teaching General Science across Key Stages 3-4, with a specialism at Key Stage 5 an advantage.

The role comes with a generous relocation package and rental support.

Essential requirements:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• PGCE or degree in the relevant subject area
• Clean Enhanced DBS

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Teach across Key Stages 3-4. The capacity to teach KS5 is desirable
• Appropriate planning and preparation of courses to support curriculum development
• Promote a love for Science to students inside the classroom, as well as across the whole school community
• Manage the behaviour of students in classrooms and around the school
• Support extra-curricular activities
• Differentiate to meet the needs of learners
• Adhere to all agreed departmental and whole school policies
